Resource Maps are used to visually display the location and availability of resources. Maps can be used for things like floor plans, maker space equipment layout, or showing bin locations on a shelf.
Resource maps are managed from the Resource Maps menu item under Application Management. This feature must be enabled by an administrator in Application Configuration in the resource.maps section.
To add a resource map, first upload the image and give the map a name. The name will be shown to users when browsing the list of maps.
Use the drawing tools to add locations to the map. After a shape is added, clicking it allows you to choose the resource associated with the map location.
To edit a location, select the Edit drawing tool, then update the location shape.
To remove a location from the map, select the Delete drawing tool, then choose the location shape to remove from the map.
Published maps will be available to all users from the Resource Maps menu item under Reservations.
