Booked provides a monitor-friendly view of a configurable set of reservations.
A good use of this feature is mounting a large monitor in a public area to show real-time availability of reservations. Monitor views update automatically and always show the most up to date information.
Monitor views automatically refresh and do not require any custom refresh tools or extensions. Enabling a manual refresh will cause the view to be displayed incorrectly.
Configuring Monitor Views #
Monitor views can be added and managed from the gear menu in the header, then the Monitor Views navigation item. You can add as many monitor view configurations as needed.
Monitor views are highly configurable, allowing you to show resources for specific resources or schedules. You can show all matching reservations for a specific number of upcoming days, a fixed number of upcoming reservations, or reservations within a date range. Additionally, reservations can be filtered to include only ones that have a specific value set for custom attributes.
Monitor views can be displayed as an easy to read list, a calendar, or as a grid – similar to the schedule view.
Once a monitor view is saved, it can be accessed by a unique URL.
List View #
The monitor list view will split up and scroll through reservations. There are additional configuration options to help customize how this is displayed. You can set the number of reservations to display per “page” and you can configure the reservation details to be displayed.
Announcements #
An optional announcement can be displayed on the monitor view. This can be used to display instructional or information messaging.
Monitor View Header #
The header of the can be configured with a custom logo, a custom message, and whether to display the current date and time. Clearing the header text and disabling both the logo and date/time will hide the header entirely.
