Resources can be configured to require reservation owners to check in and out of each reservation. This operates similar to a hotel reservation system, requiring checking in upon arrival and checking out when departing.
When creating a reservation, you will be notified if you are required to check in and out.
Checking In #
As a reservation approaches its start time, you will have the ability to check in either from the reservation detail page or from the dashboard. Checking in does not alter the reservation start time.
Checking Out #
At any point after checking in, you can check out either from the reservation detail page or from the dashboard. Checking out ends the reservation at the time of checkout, rather than the scheduled end time.
Automatically Cancelling Reservations #
Optionally, a resource may be configured to automatically cancel reservations if the owner does not check in. You will be notified when creating a reservation if and when it will be automatically cancelled.
